Mirai and Mujin Household
She had risen the second that Mujin had launched himself from their window, ebony locks falling into place as she stared at the empty spot he formerly occupied. Something, in the distance, had stirred her. A discharge or explosion. She felt it deep within her and had not been able to sleep since.
Her eyes perused the dimly lit room for a couple of seconds before concluding he hadn't even bothered to leave a note. Probably meant that he had only stepped out briefly. It didn't matter.
Dark thoughts circled her head. Her husband-to-be hated her world, and took every opportunity to abandon or patronize her. His brother, her former teammate and only other friend would soon seize her title from her, or kill her for his plans. Her own "brother" was loyal to him as well. The two children she had helped raise in the absence of their father had attacked her either psychologically or physically. She was alone.
Alone.
A icy spider ran up her spine as her feet touched the cold wood of her floors and she rose shakily, taking a few wobbly steps before colliding with the armoire in her bedroom. Her breaths became rapid and shallow as she gripped at the wood so tightly her knuckles became white.
They hate you. You're alone. You're weak. You're worth nothing.
The voice that filled her head was not only her own, but another that she had hoped never to hear again. She shoved herself away from her perch, colliding with the wall as she aimed to make it outside. The air within the house was too hot. Suffocating. Her fingers pulled urgently at the collar of her shirt, that felt too tight now as she stumbled down the stairs.
You're alone. You're weak. Your fiance hates you. Your friends hate you. Your brother hates you. They all hate you.
Slender fingers fumbled with the handle of the door, pulling too hard and derailing the mechanism, trapping her within the house. They couldn't possibly. Could they? She tugged, only managing to get a few more inches before the voice came back.

Her hands came up to her ears, disheveling her usually well-tamed hair. She just needed air. She needed to stop thinking, and breathe, and get out of this house. Her fist came back, chakra gathering it quickly and efficiently. Her eyes felt strained and she knew that if anyone saw her now, they would think her a monster for what she had to do to acquire this ability.
If Mujin didn't want to be by her side, then she would go alone. If they wanted to be her enemy, then she would make them regret it. If anyone wanted to stand in her way, she would cut and slice her way through them. And if this house wished to trap her, she would knock it all down.
Her fist shot forward, chakra rushing out at a pin drop. The door fractured for a half second, and then shattered. The force sent a rush of wind sweeping through the house, scattering anything that wasn't heavy or nailed down. Outside, the wood of the patio splintered and took flight, and the ground fractured and uprooted, flying back and colliding with the wall, knocking it down and continuing it's path of destruction for a only few more meters. before dwindling and halting.
You hate all of them.
Her chest heaved, cool air rushing into the house and filling her lungs. Calmer thoughts filled her head as she stood straighter, her breath plateauing as she surveyed the damaged done. Mostly to her property. A little into the public alley that ran along the back of her yard. Nothing she couldn't handle.
By the time the small team of Uchiha who specialized in Earth Release answered their summons, the Uchiha Lady was gone. A brief inspection of the house would find that her weapons, armor, and cloak were gone. Brief instructions, leaving the UMC tasks to accomplish before she returned was left behind: set meetings, battle test the barrier squad, and a list of people she wished to recruit that included Gyoken Uchiha.
Outskirts of the Leaf Village
Mirai's seal was activated; she didn't want to be trailed. Despite the speed she moved at, even the forest surrounding her didn't seem to react as her body weaved a silent trail that spelled her departure from the district. Her eyes stared ahead, her instincts tuned to the world around her.
She had allowed her role as the Lord of her clan to slow her, to make her weaker. She had hoped her pride and care for the clan would make them respect her, but she had somehow forgotten that she had gotten to where she was by walking a path bathed in the blood of those she had cut down. She needed more power, what she had clearly wasn't enough of a threat to put to rest any doubt of her strength.
Her body pushed harder, propelling her away from the village. Away from her clan.
She would return of course, but if she was the same woman when she came back was still unknown.
The UMC has closed it's doors to all outsiders. Uchiha workers have all returned to the building despite the late hour. They refuse anyone who is not officially employed and do not speak of Mirai's disappearance.
