Land of Knowledge: Uragoe Dispute

(art by @Kami)

1) The initial complaint is the failure to address the tatebate blasts which had been held and strengthened in a reflective fuinjutsu barrier, which had been invoked during the initial assault attempt on and by Tenwa Sozo.

A) (The results and effects of the seals were made apparent as a stray volley of a purple energy blast struck against the wall of the sealing sphere only to be reflected in the direction it came from, actively sending the strike back doubling both its speed and power. Being that there were over 60 volleys of these energy blasts simultaneously fired, the masses would find themselves in a state of being constantly afflicted and continuously bombarded by their own techniques, which if somehow wasn't countered would result in every single last specimen being turned into dust with no one to fault except themselves.) ~Quoted from 3rd post in the Kagi town thread~

B) (The sphere of fuinjutsu that remained present containing nothing more than the continuous reflections of the previously released energy beams utilized against him and his party prior to the earlier altercation The speed and sheer power remarkably increased tenfold from the constant reflection and doubling of power, holding enough innate power to instantly eradicate anything upon contact and shroud the afflicted target upon once connected. The minions who previously resided within had been initially rendered to dust until even that component of them had been completely destroyed. Each blast seemingly released with the intended purpose and specified direction despite the blinding speeds at which they were expelled, soaring overhead above the party of the three men, each aimed perfectly towards every present minion outside of the walls of the library, with Uragoe himself being a target.) ~Quoted from 8th post in the Kagi Town thread~

With a failure to mention or address the directed assault, it is only logical that the minions outside of the library would be eradicated, and Uragoe himself would be struck by said technique as well, dealing direct damage.

2) Overriding use of fuinjutsu dome barrier designed to specifically reflect any chakra infused or physical components that come into contact with it. The power and technical aspect of fuinjutsu upon initial contact would remain constant so long as the seal itself had not been tampered with or completely destroyed, even if the said shield was shattered for story progression, it would not do so without fulfilling its purpose to some extent, and the technical aspect of the reflection would also cause the beginning portion of the sound wave itself to ricochet and clash with twice as much force towards the remaining portion that trailed behind. Meaning even if the ward barrier was shattered, the force of the oncoming soundwave would be greatly diminished before making contact with the other established lines of defense. However, it should be noted that even Minato with basic fuinjutsu application was able to completely halt a charged S rank tailed beast bomb with little to no effort on his part without his seal shattering from impact, magnitude, and force.

3) The use of a wind vacuum diminishing the effects of sound even further. The sound itself is unable to travel through a vacuum being that it requires some form of medium to travel across. When the sound wave came into contact with the muffling vacuum, regardless of the force or power behind the released technique, the science behind the matter would logically render sound itself as being immediately null and unable to continue further being that it lacked a medium to travel across

4) The utilization of an abrasive yin barrier being overlooked. Yin itself is a component of every elemental nature release, and as such being that a component to utilize elemental ninjutsu successfully, a proper balancing of yin and yang is necessary. In a sense it's like a water balloon – the yin and yang would serve in a sense as the exterior, or the "balloon" carrying the "interior" or the chakra of the Jutsu itself. If either balance between the yin and yang were to become disrupted or unbalanced, the balloon would pop, leaving the inside baseless and without form to continue constant momentum or direction. So in a sense, the instant the remaining power of the technique came into contact with the yin barrier, it would be completely dispersed with no remaining momentum to carry it continuously through.

5) In a tandem Ketsugo also erected a Yang barrier in a similar principle as to how the Yin Barrier operates. Yang is a fundamental component in each release and even in chakra that makes use of both spiritual and physical energy. And such can be used to dismantle or disrupt the ratios of Jutsu like Sound Release. Similarly to the Yin Barrier above. So in a sense the moment the sound makes contact with the barrier it also is further dismantled by the Yang Barrier by collecting the roaming energy after its spiritual energy is disrupted.

LEGENDARY
Rebuttal
In response to the judgment request for the battle in the Land of Knowledge.

Claim #1
Uragoe did not respond to the attack from Tenwa Sozo’s commandeering of the Hitokuchi’s Tabete technique. This is true and I have no claims against it - the Hitokuchi, as mentioned in my post, are meant to be mere sacrifices, so their death is fine. Uragoe would certainly sustain damage: please take note of what I posted in the tag thread on January 9th:

#Tag

This issue could've been resolved by just direct messaging me or by contacting me in the Help thread. In the future I ask that this be your first means of communicating confusion/disagreements because now I have to take time out of something else I could be doing to type this up, take screenshots, etc, when I agree with the claim. Obviously for me to completely ignore a main-part of a post's attack is an indication of my burnt out status, as mentioned in the Tag thread on the 9th. I agree with the first claim completely.

Claim #2
This claim is actually several claims in one.

1. I would like to start by challenging the idea that Minato using "... basic fuinjutsu application was able to completely halt a charged S rank tailed beast bomb". This claim in itself is highly inaccurate; Minato's Space-Time Technique is anything but a basic application of sealing technique. In fact, it is highly advanced: he is using a combination of 4 different jutsu types in order to rip open a spatial barrier in the Impure World to send a massive, dense form of chakra to an entirely separate space several miles off.

A seal's power must match the power of what it is attempting to seal. This is a basic law of fuinjutsu.

Examples of this being truth: (1.) Only the Indra Incarnate and the Asura Incarnate with their powers combined could seal away Kaguya Otsutsuki or a jinchuriki of the 10 Tails. (2.) Tailed beasts are known for breaking out of seals that are too weak to contain their power. (3.) The Five Elements Seal and the Five Elements Unseal techniques.

Mere physical strength and force possess the power to break a seal. Although this is a lesser-known truth it is indeed canon.

Examples of this being truth: (1.) Iruka Umino attempted to lock Naruto Uzumaki into place by using a sealing technique. Naruto, after transforming into his Nine Tails form, easily broke the seal and fled. This same technique was used by a collection of genin against Kakashi Hatake in the part 3 series; he too used physical might to fight the jutsu's power. (2.) Tailed beasts are often seen physically confined within the body of a jinchuriki using spikes, chains and cages. This is further proof that physical strength and sheer force can break the power of a seal. (3.) Sasuke Uchiha fought back Danzo Shimura's seal with physical strength. (4.) The one tails jinchuriki and the seven tails jinchuriki fought back this Land of Wind shinobi's sealing jutsu as well.

I could go on and on but it is obviously unnecessary. The seal would have indeed had some power but certainly not enough to save them from Uragoe's attack, the Sound Release: Sensation of Absolute Applause (音遁・音遁・絶対的な拍手のセンセーション, "Ototon: Zettaitekina Hakushu no Sensēshon") technique, a Sound Release ability that releases a powerful concussive blast of sound around oneself. It was made clear to the role players that the NPCs abilities would be shown as the story progresses, much like the manga, anime and video games. Here is the description in the post:

"All of the sound absorbed throughout the region resulted in a cataclysmic eruption of pressurized energy accompanied by a disastrous applause. The energy blast alone would completely topple the village and twenty miles around it, killing everyone in the vicinity and flattening the forest completely... It was as if three category five hurricanes ripped through the area simultaneously, taking everything with it."

This was no mere blast of pressure and sound. This technique is meant to tear the entire region apart and flatten it. It is also classified as an SS-Rank technique which are techniques which effect entire environments.

Is the claim that such a jutsu, which possesses incredible power, could be held back with credible results by Tenwa Sozo's sealing jutsu plausible? Highly unlikely and to be quite frank, ridiculous to even think about! The physical might alone would've been enough to nullify the seal easily and rip right through it (similarly to how Naruto's technique outclassed Iruka's) but for the sake of story I am willing to say that it was weakened, slightly, but not significantly. Unless, of course, Tenwa is claiming that his seal is SS-Rank. 🐧 (Should also be noted that each of the Hitokuchi have different frequencies, skill sets, etc, as outlined in the posts.)

Claim #3
The use of a wind vacuum diminishing the effects of sound even further.

The "science behind the matter" is actually on Uragoe's side. The sound is accompanied by powerful winds - 3 category five hurricane level winds, actually. Sound Release is a mixture of Wind, Lightning and Yin Release. In collusion with one another, the wind and sound are traveling together with enough force to flatten an entire town and the surrounding environment. The force of 3 category 5 hurricanes would be enough to deal with Tenwa's wind technique. At this point it becomes a matter of force; Uragoe's jutsu is simply stronger, according to description. The concussive blast was said to carry these wind gale forces and sound.

According to atomicarchive.com, a reputable site (Google the site and its owners), the pressure force needed to demolish a town/forest area is around 30 psi or 934 mph force. Uragoe completely flattened them.

Where was it stated that Tenwa's Wind Release possessed this power? Nowhere because it doesn't. Uragoe's wind in his technique outmatches Tenwa's from A to Z.

The sound itself is unable to travel through a vacuum being that it requires some form of medium to travel across. When the sound wave came into contact with the muffling vacuum, regardless of the force or power behind the released technique

This is simply untrue because the soundwave is traveling alongside wind force (from Sound Release). This isn't just sheer "pressure". It is Wind Release as well, as explained in post one, post two and the wikipedia, this is apart of the building blocks of Sound Release. His vaccuum cannot stand up to Uragoe's wind pressure. It would simply be eradicated from the outside in.

Claim #4

I ask the moderators to think about this:

What would happen if someone fought with Fire Release against Dust Release?
What would happen if someone fought with Earth Release against Lava Release?
What would happen if someone fought with Water Release against Storm Release?
What would happen if someone fought with Water Release against Ice Release?
What would happen if someone fought with Earth Release against Wood Release?

Is it possible for someone to beat an advanced kekkei genkai element with a single component? Absolutely. This, however, is not the case. I explained in my post that the Yin Release ward barrier would indeed have some sort of power but compared to the rank and over all power of Uragoe's jutsu it is simply insignificant. Please refer to the information in the claims above for more details. Tenwa's earlier post further claims:
... By creating an abrasive barrier of raw yin in a sense, once or if, the expected attack were to make contact with the barrier of erected yin, it would essentially be stripped of its own yin component, unraveling it, leaving it to disperse without guidance or support for its continuous expulsion. Which although would leave him subject to the remaining natural force, it would be significantly lessened, yet free from the potential lingering or additional effects the release in itself may have held ....

This is reasonable and feasible. But he is combating an SS-Rank technique whose power spreads some 20 miles. The sheer force of yin coming into contact with him would be more than enough to bombard and break his barrier. Again, it all comes down to the magnitude of Uragoe's jutsu.

If it was an SS-Rank technique vs an SS-Rank technique fine. But this is a spur of the moment jutsu. It doesn't even possess a name or a rank!!

Conclusion
1. Uragoe was struck by the Tabete attack.

2. Fuinjutsu can be disrupted by physical force and an equal powered seal is required to seal something.

3. Uragoe's attack used the power of 3 category-five hurricanes in one strike. Tenwa's did not. His attack was inadequate.

4. His Yin technique was ill-prepared, too weak and out-matched by Uragoe's own technique, though it did possess some power.

5. Same answer for Ketsugo's Yang barrier.

Finally, their efforts did indeed weaken Uragoe's attack. My post itself claims this! Otherwise, they'd all be ash and dust.

Just a little added questions...

If Tenwa and Ketsugo are using Yin Release (using pure yin would not accomplish anything unless one possesses the ability to control spiritual energy alone. Neither Ketsugo nor Tenwa possess this ability) then that means that it has a ratio of Yang Release, meaning it is subject to physical assaults.

Even if their Yin Release has a ratio of 90:10, that's still 10 for yang. Uragoe released an incredible amount of physical energy which would, indeed, attack their yin barriers as well.
